President Commends Navy’s Defense of Maritime Borders

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari visited the Naval Headquarters on Thursday, where he praised the Pakistan Navy’s efforts in safeguarding the nation’s maritime boundaries. Upon arrival, President Zardari was received by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf.

During the visit, Admiral Ashraf briefed the President on maritime security issues and the Navy’s achievements during the recent operation, MARKA-E-HAQ. President Zardari acknowledged the Navy’s effective response to Indian aggression and congratulated the force for its successful defense of the country’s maritime frontiers.

Admiral Ashraf assured the President of the Navy’s ongoing commitment to protect the sea frontiers and maritime interests of Pakistan.

A naval contingent presented a guard of honor to President Zardari, who also laid a floral wreath at the Shuhada Monument to honor the fallen. Admiral Ashraf expressed gratitude to the President for his visit to the headquarters.
