President and Prime Minister of Pakistan Honor National Heroes on Pakistan Day


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the national heroes, martyrs, and ghazis who contributed to the creation and stability of Pakistan. In their messages commemorating Pakistan Day, they highlighted the country’s achievements and the sacrifices made by ancestors.



According to Radio Pakistan, the President acknowledged Pakistan’s progress since independence, citing the development of strong institutions and enhanced defense capabilities. He reaffirmed the country’s resolve to counter security threats and prevent any group from using foreign soil against Pakistan.



Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the government’s role in steering the economy towards sustainable growth despite challenges. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to resolving the Jammu and Kashmir issue, emphasizing continued support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.



Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar extended greetings to the nation and praised the efforts of Pakistan’s founders, led by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He reiterated the commitment to eradicating terrorism and highlighted the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in this endeavor. Dar also expressed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmiris seeking self-determination.



Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s founders and saluted the martyrs and heroes who dedicated their lives to defending the nation. Meanwhile, the leaders of Pakistan’s armed forces conveyed their congratulations and stressed their commitment to addressing threats to the country’s security.
