President and Prime Minister of Pakistan Congratulate Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party on Electoral Win

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended their congratulations to Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and its leader Balendra Shah following a significant electoral victory. Both leaders emphasized the potential for enhanced bilateral cooperation and the importance of youth participation in governance.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari, in a formal statement, highlighted the active involvement of young individuals in the electoral process, noting it as a positive indicator of a broader regional movement toward accountable governance and reform. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations based on mutual respect, goodwill, and shared interests.

Prime Minister Sharif, through a message on his X handle, also lauded the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s success in the 2026 elections. He interpreted the strong electoral mandate as a sign of trust from the Nepali populace in their new leadership. Sharif expressed his anticipation of working closely with Nepal’s newly elected government to enhance the longstanding friendship and cooperative ties between the two nations.
