Lakki Marwat: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have issued strong condemnations following a terrorist attack near a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat, emphasizing their commitment to combating terrorism. According to Radio Pakistan, the attack resulted in the deaths of six police personnel, including a Station House Officer, and left a constable injured during an IED blast in the Battani area.

In his statement, President Zardari highlighted the sacrifices made by law enforcement agencies, describing them as a source of national pride. He reiterated the country’s determination to eliminate terrorism. Prime Minister Sharif, in a separate statement, assured that the sacrifices of police personnel and security forces would not be in vain. He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism and offered prayers for the police personnel who lost their lives in the attack.

In response to the incident, police have initiated a search operation to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
