President Alvi Advocates for Palestinian Aid and Ceasefire in Embassy Visit

Islamabad, During a visit to the embassy of Palestine in Pakistan, President Dr. Arif Alvi voiced his solidarity with the Palestinian people who have been subjected to violent actions by Israel. Emphasizing the urgency for an international condemnation of Israel’s aggressive response, Dr. Alvi called for an immediate ceasefire and the initiation of a humanitarian corridor to aid those in need. In discussions with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Islamabad, Mr. Ahmed Jawad Rabei, Dr. Alvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine.

According to Press Information Department, The President emphasized the role of the United Nations and the UNSC in addressing the Palestinian situation, while highlighting the detrimental effects of war on the prospects for peace. Ambassador Rabei appreciated President Alvi’s timely visit and characterized Israel’s actions as a genocide against the Palestinian people. Before concluding his visit, Dr. Alvi recorded his condolences in the embassy’s book for the victims of the recent violent actions.
