President Alvi Advocates Enhanced Cooperation with Morocco

Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized the need to bolster collaboration with Morocco in areas like trade, investment, and the economy. This sentiment was shared during a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Morocco, Muhammad Sami-ur-Rehman, in Islamabad. Citing the nations’ mutual history and common interests, President Alvi highlighted the importance of increasing high-level exchanges to solidify bilateral ties. Additionally, he drew attention to the Special Investment Facilitation Council, an initiative designed to streamline investment processes, suggesting Morocco could benefit from Pakistan’s pro-business climate.

In another discussion with Pakistan’s Permanent Representative-designate to the United Nations in Geneva, Dr. Bilal Ahmad, President Alvi underscored the significance of maintaining positive interactions with the UN. He stressed the importance of championing Pakistan’s national objectives and leveraging the OIC platform in Geneva. The aim is to amplify the concerns of the Muslim community on matters like Islamophobia and the situations faced by the Kashmiri and Palestinian populations.
