PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Commends Establishment of Wall of Martyrs in Islamabad

Islamabad, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has praised the inauguration of the Wall of Martyrs at the Interior Ministry in Islamabad, a significant tribute to those who lost their lives combating terrorism in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a news conference held in Islamabad, Bhutto Zardari recognized the valor of politicians, lawyers, judges, military, and police personnel whose sacrifices contributed to the successful eradication of terrorism in the country. He expressed regret over the previous PTI-led government’s decision to allow hardcore terrorists to settle in Pakistan, stating that it negated the progress made in eliminating terrorism.

Highlighting the gravity of the situation, Bhutto Zardari called for an investigation into the decision, which he termed as endangering Pakistan by exposing it to terrorist elements. The event was also attended by Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti.

In a symbolic gesture, Bhutto Zardari added a portrait of his mother, the late former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, to the Wall of Martyrs. This act serves not only as a personal tribute but also as a reminder of the broader political and societal sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism in Pakistan.

The establishment of the Wall of Martyrs and the addition of Benazir Bhutto’s portrait underscore the nation’s commitment to remember and honor those who have laid down their lives for Pakistan’s security and stability.
