Posters in IIOJK appeal people to observe Black Day on Jan 26 

Srinagar, January 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters have been pasted in Srinagar and other areas of the territory, today, calling for observing the Indian Republic Day, the January 26, as Black Day.

India celebrates Republic Day to mark the date when the Indian Constitution came into effect in 1950, which was to make the country a secular state.

The posters with pictures of illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, APHC Vice Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson Aasiya Andrabi and other APHC leaders were pasted on walls, pillars and electricity poles in Srinagar and other areas of the territory.

The posters displayed by Jammu Kashmir Tehreek-e-Azadi and Jammu and Kashmir Students and Youth Forum read “26 January, Indian Republic Day is a Black Day for Kashmiris”, “UN must fulfill its plebiscite promise with the Kashmiris” and “India is trying to hoodwink international organisations regarding Kashmir”. The posters have appealed to the people of the territory to observe the Indian Republic Day on January 26 as Black Day.
