Posters appeal IIOJK people to mark October 27 as Black Day

Srinagar, October 21, 2022 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters have appeared in different areas of the Kashmir valley, urging the people to observe October 27 as Black Day. It was on 27th October in 1947 when Indian troops in total violation of the spirit of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent had militarily invaded Jammu and Kashmir and illegally occupied it against the will of the Kashmiri people.

The posters displayed in different parts of the Kashmir Valley said that India had occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the will of the Kashmiri people and had killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Jammu. The posters bear the pictures of the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and illegally detained resistance leaders including APHC Chairman, Masarrat Alam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan.

The posters displayed by Sada-e-Mazloom said Indian democracy is a farce and New Delhi’s illegal, undemocratic and repressive measures in IIOJK should serve as an eye-opener for the international community. The posters also maintained that detention cannot break the resolve of the Hurriyat leaders and they are determined to carry forward the ongoing struggle for securing the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
