Political Experts Reject India’s Claims of Pakistani Infiltration in Kashmir as Baseless

Srinagar: Political commentators have criticized recent claims by Indian media alleging the infiltration of 600 Pakistani SSG Commandos into Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, labeling these assertions as mere propaganda designed to divert attention from local discontent and India’s policy failures in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the experts refuted the claims, pointing out that the extensive security measures along the Line of Control, including robust fencing and advanced surveillance, render such a large-scale infiltration implausible. They emphasized that the ongoing struggle in Kashmir is an indigenous movement for self-determination, recognized by the United Nations and supported by historical context since Partition.

The narrative pushed by the Indian government, which paints the Kashmiri freedom movement as externally fueled militancy, is deemed an effort to undermine the genuine aspirations of Kashmiri people and distract from the domestic political challenges faced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party following recent electoral setbacks. The experts called for the Indian government to recognize the local roots of the Kashmir conflict and seek a peaceful resolution through dialogue, rather than resorting to deflection and misinformation.
