Hub: In an effort to bolster community trust and ensure the success of the ongoing polio eradication campaign, key local officials, including the Assistant Commissioner of Hub, visited various areas of the town on Wednesday. The visit was part of a targeted initiative to engage directly with families and religious institutions that have been hesitant to participate in the vaccination effort.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Assistant Commissioner Hub Amir Hamza Bulaward and the District Health Officer conducted a detailed inspection to evaluate the progress of the polio teams and to oversee the vaccination process, particularly focusing on children under 10 years old. This initiative comes in the wake of some parents’ refusal to vaccinate their children due to various concerns, which have been addressed by taking the vaccination drive to religious madrasas, where many children were successfully immunized.
During their visit, the officials also monitored the procedures followed by the health teams, including the marking of children’s fingers, which is a standard method for tracking vaccination. The presence of ADHO Dr. Shaukat highlighted the importance of the campaign and the government’s commitment to eradicating polio.
Assistant Commissioner Amir Hamza Baloka emphasized the critical role of civic responsibility and governmental oversight in combating health crises like polio. He expressed optimism about the comprehensive reach of the program and the collective effort required to prevent the spread of the polio virus and achieve national health goals.
The polio eradication campaign in Hub is part of a broader national effort to eliminate the virus, which continues to be a priority for health authorities across the country.
