Loralai: A polio case has been confirmed in a three-year and five-month-old child in Aghberg Jalalzai UC Sadar 2, marking the first occurrence of the disease in the Loralai Division this year. The confirmation was announced during a meeting between Deputy District Officer Health Abdul Halim Atmankhel and Commissioner Loralai Division Saadat Hasan.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Commissioner Saadat Hasan addressed the situation, expressing concern over the reported case. He emphasized the need for urgent action to prevent further spread of the disease, noting that polio not only affects individual children but poses a threat to society at large. Despite significant resources allocated towards eradication efforts, the disease persists, highlighting the importance of continued vaccination campaigns to protect children.
