Jammu: Mian Abdul Qayoom, the former president of the High Court Bar Association in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has had his police remand extended by six additional days by an Indian National Investigation Authority (NIA) court on Monday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Advocate Qayoom was arrested in Srinagar on June 25 during a house raid conducted by Indian police, who charged him in what has been described as a fabricated case. Colleagues of Qayoom assert that he is being persecuted due to his outspoken pro-freedom stance.
