Police Nab Suspects in Tarnol Murder Case

Islamabad: Tarnol Police, along with the Homicide Investigation Unit, have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of Hayat Khan. The arrests were made after an unidentified individual had filed a complaint at the Tarnol Police Station, reporting that Khan had been shot and critically injured by unknown assailants. Khan later died from his injuries.

Following the complaint, the Tarnol Police swiftly registered a case and launched an investigation. Deputy Inspector General of Police for Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, responded promptly to the situation, instructing law enforcement to take immediate action to detain those responsible.

The police teams employed modern technical and scientific methods to track down and arrest the accused individuals. The suspects have been identified as Suleman Khan, also known as Jabar Khan and the victim’s son, and a second individual named Abdullah. During the course of the investigation, the suspects reportedly led police to the pistol used in the crime.

DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that the Islamabad Police are committed to eradicating crime in the region. He assured that the suspects would face trial with substantial evidence to secure severe punishments.

Furthermore, Tariq reiterated the police department’s commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property. He urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities or individuals through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This cooperation, he noted, is essential for the police and community to work together toward a crime-free society.
