Djibouti: Pakistan Navy Ship ZULFIQUAR made a significant port call at Djibouti as part of its deployment on Regional Maritime Security Patrol. Upon its arrival, the ship was welcomed by officials from the Djibouti Navy, marking the commencement of a series of strategic engagements aimed at bolstering maritime cooperation between the two nations.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Commanding Officer of PNS ZULFIQUAR held meetings with senior military leaders from Djibouti to explore potential avenues for further collaboration. The visit facilitated professionally rewarding interactions between the crew of PNS ZULFIQUAR and the Djibouti Navy and Coast Guards, reinforcing the strong navy-to-navy ties that have been pivotal in the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Djibouti.
The port call underscored the close and cordial relations enjoyed by Pakistan and Djibouti, grounded in mutual respect and understanding, and highlighted their shared interests in the maritime domain. The event was marked by visits from Ambassadors, Defence Attaches, senior government and military leaders of Djibouti, as well as prominent members of the local and Pakistani community.
As PNS ZULFIQUAR departed, it conducted a Passage Exercise with the Djibouti Coast Guards, aimed at enhancing inter-operability between the maritime forces of the two countries, thereby strengthening their regional security cooperation.
