PNS Hunain Strengthens Ties with Turkish Navy through Port Visits and Joint Exercises

Islamabad: Pakistan Naval Ship PNS Hunain recently completed a notable visit to the Turkish ports of Golcuk and Aksaz, fostering enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey’s naval forces. The visit included high-level meetings and a joint naval exercise aimed at boosting operational capabilities between the two navies.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, upon arrival at the ports, the PNS Hunain was greeted by senior officials from the Pakistani Embassy and representatives of the Turkish Navy. During the stay in Golcuk, the Commanding Officer of PNS Hunain engaged in strategic discussions with the Fleet Commander of the Turkish Navy and the Commander of the Golcuk Naval Base.

The visit to Aksaz was equally productive, with the commander of the second destroyer squadron of the Turkish Navy and the commanding officer of the Turkish Navy ship TCG GELIBOLU boarding the PNS Hunain. This engagement underscored the deepening military relations between the two countries.

Additionally, PNS Hunain and the Turkish Coast Guard ship GELIBOLU conducted a joint exercise during the visit. The exercise was focused on enhancing mutual cooperation and improving joint operations capabilities, highlighting the commitment of both navies to regional security and collaborative defense strategies.
