Islamabad: On Kashmir Solidarity Day, Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister for Climate Change, reiterated strong support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their ongoing quest for self-determination and human rights. She emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to their cause amid continuing challenges in the region.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, Ms. Khurshid highlighted the significance of Kashmir Solidarity Day as a reminder of the hardships faced by the Kashmiri people under Indian occupation. She used the occasion to stress Pakistan’s full solidarity with the Kashmiri community in their peaceful struggle for inalienable rights.
Ms. Khurshid called on the international community to uphold the rights of Kashmiris to freedom and justice, as outlined in United Nations resolutions. She pointed out the global community’s obligation to recognize the legitimacy of the Kashmiri people’s demands for self-determination.
“The Kashmiri people have endured immense suffering over the years. Pakistan will continue to advocate for their rights until they are fully realized,” said Ms. Khurshid. She also praised the resilience and courage of the Kashmiri people, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to raising their voices on international platforms.
