PMIC Inspects Delayed HVAC Project at PIMS, Islamabad


Islamabad, The Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC) conducted a thorough inspection of the delayed project “Replacement and Upgradation of HVAC Plant Room Equipment and Allied Works at PIMS, Islamabad,” following concerns expressed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.



According to Press Information Department, the PMIC, led by Chairman Brig. (Retd.) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha, assigned an inquiry team headed by Mr. Zahir Shah, Member PMIC, to expedite the project’s completion. The team, including Mr. Safdar Ali, Mr. Muhammad Saleh Narejo, and Mr. Ahmed Waseem, visited PIMS on January 22, 2024, to assess the ongoing work related to the installation of central air conditioning. Representatives from various ministries, PIMS administration, Pak PWD officers, and contractors were present during the inspection. The PMIC team observed the progress made since the previous directions issued on December 29, 2023, urging for a speedy and effective completion.



The PMIC team emphasized the need to complete the project before January 31, 2024. In this regard, the Chairman of PMIC plans to visit the PIMS Hospital’s project on January 30, 2024, for further evaluation. An interim report on the project’s progress has already been submitted to the office of the Prime Minister.
