Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will address the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York today. He is also slated to participate in a high-profile summit of Arab and Islamic nations hosted jointly by the United States and Qatar.
This exclusive summit, attended by US President Donald Trump, is being held alongside the UNGA proceedings. The Pakistani premier received a special invitation to this gathering.
In addition to his UNGA address and summit participation, the Prime Minister has a full schedule of bilateral engagements. He will hold discussions with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, Kuwaiti Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
Furthermore, Sharif will deliver remarks at a high-level meeting focusing on the Global Development Initiative.
