Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the international community to embrace global cooperation and fair distribution of resources to foster an egalitarian economy aimed at alleviating human suffering.
Speaking at a high-level roundtable discussion titled “Is Humanity Heading in the Right Direction” in Riyadh, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of sharing technology and resources to create job opportunities. He highlighted the need for enhanced cooperation in critical sectors such as agriculture, climate change, and industry.
Sharif drew attention to global challenges, particularly climate change, noting that Pakistan is among the top ten countries most affected by this issue, despite contributing less than one percent to global carbon emissions.
The Prime Minister’s call for action underscores the urgency for international collaboration to address pressing global challenges and support vulnerable nations in their development efforts.
The roundtable discussion provided a platform for world leaders to deliberate on strategic measures needed to steer humanity towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
