Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has mandated immediate corrective measures for the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project, following the identification of significant defects that led to its recent shutdown. He has called for stern actions against those accountable for these shortcomings.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting in Islamabad, the Prime Minister directed the completion of an investigative report on the project’s closure and highlighted the failure to perform essential concrete lining as a grave oversight, despite prior warnings from experts about design flaws.
