PM Shehbaz Sharif Attends Joint Arab Islamic Summit in Riyadh.


RIYADH: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia to attend the extraordinary Joint Arab Islamic Summit. During the summit, being held in Riyadh on Monday, the Prime Minister is set to present Pakistan’s stance on the Israeli activities in Palestinian territories, including Gaza.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister will not only address the summit but is also expected to engage in meetings with key figures such as Saudi Minister for Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and the Secretary General of the Muslim World League. The Prime Minister expressed via his post on X that he intends to discuss the rapidly worsening situation in Gaza, emphasizing a unified voice for the rights of the Palestinian people and reinforcing a collective call for regional peace.



In his address, the Prime Minister will reiterate Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, demanding an immediate halt to what he describes as genocide in Gaza and a cessation of ongoing Israeli actions in the area. Moreover, Pakistan will advocate for international protection for Palestinians and the establishment of an independent State of Palestine based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Quds Al Sharif serving as its capital.
