ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has instructed officials to expedite efforts on the Apna Ghar Scheme, emphasizing its importance as a key governmental priority aimed at providing housing for the general populace.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a review meeting held in Islamabad, the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the housing needs of citizens through the Apna Ghar Scheme. He emphasized the necessity for both public and private banking institutions to maximize financing options to ensure the scheme’s success. Furthermore, he tasked officials with developing strategies for implementing vertical and horizontal model housing projects under the initiative.
The meeting revealed that banks have approved a total of 204 billion rupees for the Apna Ghar Scheme, with 27 billion rupees already disbursed in financing.
