Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his keen interest in expanding trade and investment ties between Pakistan and Germany. This intention was communicated during a meeting with the German Ambassador Alfred Grannas in Islamabad, where both sides noted the positive growth trajectory of their bilateral relationship and identified significant potential for deeper economic engagements.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister appreciated the congratulatory message sent by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on his re-election, highlighting the deep-rooted and valued relations between the two nations. Pakistan regards Germany as a key partner in Europe, and Prime Minister Sharif’s conversation with Ambassador Grannas reflected a mutual interest in furthering these ties, particularly in the realms of trade and investment.
Prime Minister Sharif welcomed Germany’s initiative to send a business delegation to Pakistan, promising full support and facilitation for a successful visit. He also extended an invitation to Chancellor Scholz for an official visit to Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of such high-level exchanges in strengthening bilateral relations.
Ambassador Grannas, on behalf of Germany, assured Prime Minister Sharif of Germany’s eagerness to collaborate closely with Pakistan to enhance the partnership between the two countries, with a special focus on boosting trade and investment.
