ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to enhance coordination with provincial governments and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities amid the ongoing monsoon rains.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister issued these directives during a meeting with the Chairman of NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, in Islamabad. The meeting involved a briefing on emergency preparedness for the monsoon season and the progress of the early warning system. Additionally, coordination efforts with the Ministry of Climate Change were discussed to ensure readiness for potential weather-related emergencies.
