Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended congratulations to Aleksandr Lukashenko on his re-election as President of Belarus. In a recent phone conversation, the leaders discussed strengthening the longstanding ties between their countries and explored the potential for an economic partnership.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its relationship with Belarus. Sharif highlighted the importance of transforming their bilateral ties into a partnership that benefits both nations economically.

The Prime Minister also recalled President Lukashenko’s visit to Islamabad last November and expressed his anticipation for his upcoming official visit to Minsk later this year. The conversation underscored the mutual desire to build on the existing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

President Lukashenko expressed gratitude for the call and extended his best wishes for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to enhancing collaboration across all areas of mutual interest.
