ISLAMABAD, On the occasion of Turkiye’s 100th Republic Day, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has underscored Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to bolstering its strategic relationship with Turkiye, particularly in the economic sector.
According to a news release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in his felicitation message to the Turkish people, Prime Minister Kakar detailed the recent initiatives taken to deepen economic ties, including the signing of the Trade in Goods Agreement (TGA) and the establishment of the Strategic Economic Framework (SEF). He emphasized that a robust economic partnership and enhanced connectivity will be fundamental for guiding the bilateral relationship in the forthcoming years.
Reiterating the deep-rooted bonds shared by the two nations, PM Kakar highlighted that Pakistan and Turkiye have a storied relationship built on mutual ties of religion, culture, and history. Furthermore, he pointed out that institutional frameworks like the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) and the Strategic Economic Framework (SEF) have instilled a leadership-driven, people-focused, and forward-thinking vision for the Pak-Turkiye partnership in various fields, encompassing defence, economy, health, education, agriculture, tourism, and culture.
The Prime Minister also lauded Turkiye’s remarkable progress over the past century, particularly recognizing the influential leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
