PM Highlights Strength and Future of Pakistan-China Relations at 75th Anniversary Celebration

Beijing: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of cultivating the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China for the benefit of future generations, during a ceremony in Beijing marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. He underscored the unparalleled strength of the relationship, attributing its success to the dedication of past leaders and highlighting the shared economic and military aspirations of both countries.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif lauded the historical commitment and cooperation that have characterized Pakistan-China relations, describing them as one of the most profound bilateral partnerships in the world. He expressed confidence that with continued collaboration, Pakistan could emulate elements of China’s economic success, aspiring to develop a “mini Chinese economic model.”

Sharif praised China’s achievements under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, notably China’s feat of lifting 800 million people out of poverty and its rise as a global economic and military power. He also commended President Xi’s approach to international relations, emphasizing diplomacy and dialogue as tools for conflict resolution.

The Prime Minister concluded with a call to action, urging both nations to continue their hard work and dedication to ensure that the robust friendship remains strong for future generations.
