PM Discusses Muslim World League’s Role in Promoting Islam’s Image with Secretary General


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has acknowledged the Muslim World League’s efforts in promoting a moderate image of Islam and fostering unity within the Muslim community. During a meeting with Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the League, Sharif emphasized the importance of religious dialogue in addressing current challenges faced by Muslim communities globally.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister praised the League’s initiatives in advancing tolerance, fraternity, and interfaith harmony worldwide. He commended Dr. Al-Issa’s leadership and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the League’s global outreach efforts. The Prime Minister also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and the League, particularly in education and countering extremism and Islamophobia.



Dr. Al-Issa expressed gratitude for the hospitality received in Pakistan and acknowledged the country’s leadership role in the Muslim world. He reiterated the League’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Pakistan in religious, educational, and humanitarian sectors. The meeting concluded with both leaders agreeing to maintain close coordination on shared priorities and ongoing joint projects.
