ISLAMABAD, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has ordered the initiation of a comprehensive operation against illegal occupation and encroachments on lands owned by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), including the Margalla National Park. The directive came during a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister in Islamabad, focusing on administrative matters, law and order, and anti-narcotics measures in the Federal Capital.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister expressed concerns over the traffic congestion in Islamabad, attributing it partly to car showrooms scattered throughout the city. He proposed the establishment of a ‘Car City’ for vehicle sales and purchase to alleviate parking and traffic issues. Additionally, the meeting addressed the need for a central digital system for vehicle registration across Islamabad and other cities. The Prime Minister also highlighted the upcoming addition of 160 buses to the Islamabad public transport system, aimed at improving transit services in the capital.
