ISLAMABAD, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has emphasized the need to ensure all necessary facilities for Sikh Yatrees performing religious rituals and visiting sacred sites in Pakistan. This commitment was made during a meeting the Prime Minister chaired to review visa provisions for Sikh pilgrims.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, reports that the Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to streamline and make transparent the visa issuing process for Sikh pilgrims. He also called for a detailed strategy to improve the facilities provided to these pilgrims. Special focus was placed on ensuring that international standard facilities are available at Kartarpur, a key religious site for Sikh Yatrees.
