PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Engages in Key Dialogues at 3rd Belt and Road Forum in China

Islamabad, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar of Pakistan is participating in the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in China, coinciding with the decade-long celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The visit’s agenda includes participation in the forum, meetings with Chinese officials and other attending leaders, as well as engagements with Chinese entrepreneurs and media. Prime Minister Kakar emphasized the significance of CPEC as a catalyst for growth, innovation, and the green economy.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government of Pakistan, The Premier’s discussions with Chinese Premier Li Qiang reaffirmed their commitment to deepen ties in multiple sectors, with numerous MoUs and agreements signed. PM Kakar is also set to meet President Xi Jinping to deliberate on the strategic direction of Pakistan-China relations. Additionally, he held discussions with global leaders, urging the UN Secretary-General António Guterres to address the ongoing situation in Gaza. Back home, Pakistan remains resolute in condemning Israeli actions in Gaza and continues to advocate for the Palestinian cause on international platforms. Meanwhile, concerns grow over the treatment of the Kashmiri people by Indian authorities, with calls for an end to the curbs imposed on political and religious figures in the region.
