Islamabad, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, in a decisive move, has mandated the timely and consistent supply of fertilizer to the nation’s farmers for the upcoming Rabi crop.
According to a news release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a dedicated meeting about the availability of Urea for the Rabi crop, held in Islamabad, the Prime Minister underscored the necessity of ensuring proper and punctual arrangements for a buffer stock of the vital agricultural input. He further entrusted the district administration with the task of vigilantly overseeing fertilizer pricing to safeguard the interests of the farmers.
During the meeting, attendees were briefed on the country’s recent production metrics and the anticipated demand for fertilizer. Moreover, insights were shared regarding the resolutions passed by the Economic Coordination Committee to ensure the seamless supply of fertilizer to the agrarian community.
Concluding the session, Prime Minister Kakar instructed the concerned ministries to devise and present a comprehensive action plan focused on maintaining an uninterrupted supply chain of fertilizer for the crucial Rabi crop season.
