Planning Minister Vows to Overcome Terrorism and Criticizes PTI’s Economic Policies

Islamabad, In a fervent address in Narowal, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal reaffirmed the nation’s determination to combat terrorism and criticized the previous government’s policies for the current economic challenges. Highlighting the sacrifices of the martyrs as the cornerstone of the country’s resilience, Iqbal emphasized Pakistan’s historical success against terrorism and its readiness to face such threats anew.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Iqbal accused certain elements of conspiring against the country, with accomplices abroad undermining Pakistan’s sovereignty. He specifically pointed to events on May 9 of the previous year as revealing the true intentions of one such group. Without mincing words, Iqbal attributed the nation’s inflationary woes directly to the policies implemented during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s four-year term, signaling a sharp critique of the opposition party’s governance.

Moreover, the Planning Minister outlined the PML-N government’s development priorities, focusing on enhancing the country’s human resources. Iqbal’s vision includes the construction of modern infrastructure and the advancement of Pakistan’s agricultural sector through technological integration, aiming for a Green Revolution. This approach signifies a strategic pivot towards sustainable development and economic stability, leveraging technology and human capital.
