Planning Minister Stresses Importance of Political Stability for Economic Growth


Islamabad, At the Pakistan Development Summit, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the critical role of peace and political stability in achieving economic and social development. He stressed that these elements are essential for setting Pakistan on a sustainable economic trajectory.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Iqbal underscored the transformative potential of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project for the local industrial and agricultural sectors, describing it as a game-changer. He also called for an increased focus on mobilizing domestic resources to decrease dependency on external borrowing and emphasized the importance of bolstering the country’s foreign exchange reserves to meet international financial commitments on time.
