Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has pledged to fully implement the 5Es framework as a cornerstone strategy to elevate Pakistan into the ranks of the world’s top economies.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, speaking at a recent event in Islamabad, Minister Iqbal emphasized that peace, stability, and the continuity of policies and reforms are crucial for Pakistan’s development trajectory. He expressed optimism about Pakistan’s potential to secure a significant position globally, citing the nation’s progress in areas like data collection, highlighted by its achievement as the first South Asian country to conduct a digital census. This data, he noted, is vital for devising comprehensive development strategies.
Additionally, Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, stressed the importance of enhanced inter-departmental cooperation to address the impacts of climate change. She advocated for the creation of a dedicated climate change dashboard to better manage and respond to environmental challenges.
