Pishin: In a significant move to regulate public transport fares, a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Syed Yasir Shah was held in Pishin. The gathering included assistant commissioners from all tehsils, traffic police in-charges, and representatives from the 2D car union and minibus transport alliance. The meeting concluded with a unanimous decision to extend all possible relief to the public regarding transport costs.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting focused on deliberations about the current state of public transport fares and the need for regulation to ease the burden on the citizens. The Additional Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the Chief Secretary of Balochistan is actively working to alleviate the financial strain on users of public transport. He asserted that strict adherence to the regulations would be maintained, and any negligence in implementing these measures would be unacceptable.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the enforcement of the rent certificate issued by the Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA). The Transport Alliance, representing various local transport groups, agreed to comply with the RTA’s fare structure and assured full cooperation in its implementation.
This initiative underscores the local government’s commitment to ensuring fair pricing in public transport services, which is crucial for the daily commute of the residents of Pishin and the surrounding areas.
