Pishin: In a recent announcement, Deputy Commissioner Pishin Juma Dad Khan Mandukhel outlined significant initiatives by the provincial government, supported by federal efforts, aimed at enhancing agricultural efficiency and reinforcing drug policies in the district. The measures include the solarization of agricultural tubewells and strict enforcement against drug activities.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Mandukhel detailed the plans for converting agricultural tubewells to solar power, a move designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs for local landowners. The funds allocated by the provincial government for this initiative will be directly transferred to the landowners’ accounts. Post-solarization, WAPDA will discontinue electricity supply to the converted tubewells, ensuring a seamless transition to sustainable energy sources.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards drug offenses in the district, signaling robust actions to be undertaken against drug-related activities. The announcement was made in the presence of local political leaders and government officials, highlighting the collaborative approach being adopted to address these critical issues in Pishin.
