Physically challenged people’s protest in Jammu, demand resumption of pensions

Jammu, July 26, 2023 (PPI-OT): Physically challenged persons held a protest demonstration in Jammu city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir demanding resumption of their pensions which were stopped by the occupation authorities few months back. The protesters had come from Kathua, Samba and far flung areas of Jammu region to press for their demand.

They said that earlier the authorities had assured them to hike their Rs. 1000 pension but nothing was done in this regard. One of the protesters while talking to the media said, “We face a lot of problems in moving but still we have joined the protest for our rights and the authorities concerned should resolve our issue at the earliest.”

Leaders of the protesters warned that if pension amount is not credited to their accounts by July 31, they will start forcefull protests from August 1 at the offices of the concerned officers.
