Petroleum products in Pakistan still cheaper than many countries: Farrukh

Islamabad, September 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib says petroleum products in Pakistan are still cheaper than many countries in the world. In a tweet on Friday, he said the prices of petroleum products rose by eighty percent globally in one year. Farrukh Habib said according to Pakistani currency, petrol price in India is currently 245 rupees per litre, while it is 175.33 rupees in Bangladesh, 104.20 rupees in Saudi Arabia and 111.42 rupees in the UAE. He said petrol price in China is 194 rupees per litre, in Sri Lanka 154 rupees, in Azerbaijan 98.65 rupees and in Hong Kong 425.25 rupees per litre.
