Petroleum Minister Stresses Government’s Commitment to Resolving Public Issues

Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the general public, prioritizing their needs in government agendas. In a news conference, Dr. Malik highlighted significant economic progress and a sharp reduction in inflation and grocery prices, attributing these achievements to effective economic management.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Malik detailed the positive trajectory of Pakistan’s economic indicators during his address. He reported that the development rate has risen from zero to three percent. Concurrently, there has been a substantial increase in Foreign Direct Investments, remittances, and foreign exchange reserves.

The Minister noted a dramatic decline in inflation rates, from 38 percent to approximately 6.5 percent, alongside a notable decrease in the prices of edible items, from 48 percent to just 1.7 percent. These changes reflect the successful implementation of the government’s economic policies.

Dr. Malik also emphasized the human aspect of the government’s policies, focusing on the fundamental needs of the populace, such as employment, development, infrastructure, education, and housing. He underscored that the administration under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is centered on these critical areas, steering clear of chaos and destruction.
