Peshawar Enhances Emergency Response with Pahal-911 Helpline Integration

Peshawar, In a significant move to streamline emergency services, a meeting was held in Peshawar chaired by Advisor to the Chief Minister on Zakat and Ushar, Social Welfare, and Women Development, Mashal Azam Yousafzai, alongside Additional Chief Secretary Home, Abid Majeed. The session focused on the integration and expansion of the Pahal-911 helpline to include services addressing domestic violence and drug abuse.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the meeting underscored the importance of the Pahal-911 initiative, which consolidates various emergency services, including police and rescue operations, into a single communication platform. The initiative aims to enhance accessibility and response efficiency to emergencies across the province. Plans to digitize Darul Aman and integrate a UNFPA-supported helpline to combat domestic violence were also discussed as part of the broader strategy to safeguard women and children in the region.
