Peshawar, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has announced a series of judicial reforms aimed at strengthening the judiciary and providing speedy justice to citizens. The announcement was made during his address at the swearing-in ceremony of the High Court Bar Association DI Bench in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Gandapur highlighted the addition of 100 judges to various courts as a key measure to expedite the processing of cases, many of which have been pending for years. He called on all stakeholders, including lawyers, to support these reforms, which aim to uphold the rule of law and the supremacy of the constitution.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister also discussed the provincial government’s efforts to utilize local resources effectively and address the energy needs of the region. He emphasized the ongoing challenges with load shedding and the need for equitable distribution of electricity, calling for support from the legal community in securing the province’s rights from the federal government.
