Peshawar Announces Land Allocation and Hospital Wards for Eunuchs’ Welfare


Peshawar, In a significant move to improve the welfare and rights of eunuchs, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the allocation of land for graveyards and the establishment of special hospital wards for their treatment across the province. Adviser to the Chief Minister for Zakat, Ushar, Social Welfare and Development of Women Mashal Azam Yousafzai emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the provision of rights to eunuchs, under the directives of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.



According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Yousafzai detailed the initiative, stating that 5 Kanal plots of land will be designated at every station where eunuchs are present within the province for the purpose of establishing graveyards. Additionally, a special ward will be introduced in government hospitals at the divisional level throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aimed at providing top-notch medical treatment to the eunuch community. This step is part of a broader effort by the provincial government to enhance the living conditions of society’s weaker segments, with the welfare of every community member being a key priority.



The announcement underscores the provincial government’s dedication to the welfare and rights of marginalized communities, illustrating a comprehensive approach to social inclusion and support.
