Islamabad, September 29, 2021 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Azerbaijan and Pakistan enjoy cordial relations based upon common religion and cultural values. He said that Parliament to Parliament contacts of both countries would enhance relations between both nations. He expressed these views during his meeting with Ambassador of Azerbaijan Mr. Khazar Farhadov who called on him in the Parliament House today.
Speaker Asad Qaiser said that Pakistan is a safe destination for investment in the field of Energy, Trade and Information Technology. He appreciated the unequivocal stance of Azerbaijan on the issue of Kashmir and said that the world needs to take notice of atrocities and brutalities on innocent people of illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
He also reiterated Pakistan’s support to Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Armenia. He said that peace of the region is dependent upon peaceful resolution of dispute like IIOJK and Nagorno-Karabakh as per the resolutions of United Nations Security Council. He also applauded the active participation of Speaker of Mili Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova along with Parliamentary delegation in PAECO Conference held in Islamabad.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan Mr. Khazar Farhadov appreciated Pakistan support to Azerbaijan. He also appreciated Pakistan role for regional connectivity and peace. He said that Armenian aggression in the region is dangerous for peace of the region and of the world. He said that Azerbaijan values high its ties with Pakistan and is looking forward to further enhance bilateral ties. He said that People to people contacts vital for prosperity and progress of both countries.
