Islamabad: Pakistan has reiterated its unwavering solidarity with the people of Kashmir on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, at her weekly press briefing, stated that the people and government of Pakistan reaffirm their unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
She mentioned that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has written letters to the leadership of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, highlighting the serious situation in Jammu and Kashmir under Indian rule. He called for the full implementation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and emphasized international measures to address human rights concerns, including the release of Kashmiri political detainees and activists.
The Foreign Office spokesperson added that Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic, and moral support to Kashmiris for a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions.
