Jammu, October 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, various political parties under the banner of Jammu-based All Parties United Morcha has cautioned the people to remain vigilant about their electoral rights in view of the hidden political interests of the BJP-led Hindutva government of India to enroll lakhs of outside voters in the territory through backdoor means against the basic spirit of election laws.

A meeting of the All Parties United Morcha (APUM) was held in Jammu, which was attended by the representatives of National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Congress, Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI (M)], Congress, Communist Party of India (CPI), International Democratic Party (IDP) and other social organisations. The meeting discussed the latest political situation, especially in the wake of attempts to enroll outside voters to dilute the verdict of genuine voters in IIOJK.

Hitting out at the BJP for its efforts to enroll maximum outside voters, since it has lost trust of the local voters, the Morcha leaders cautioned the people to keep a watch on the revision of voters exercise, urging them to not allow ineligible and bogus voters to be enrolled. They said it is only the BJP which is defending the authorities’ illegal actions like enrolling outside voters, and thus clearly demonstrating the nexus between the two.

They said that the game plan of BJP is to dilute the power of local voters, especially, in Jammu region, since they (BJP) feel pulse of the large scale resentment amongst the local voters due to unprecedented price hike, record unemployment and anti-people decisions. The United Morcha decided to unitedly fight against wrong decisions of the BJP led government and its administration in IIOJK and protect the rights of the Kashmiris.
