PEMRA Seeks Bids for Five-Year Kaspersky Antivirus License Renewal

Islamabad: In a move to secure its digital infrastructure, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has opened a tender for the renewal of its Kaspersky Antivirus license for a five-year period. The authority is looking to procure 200 licenses for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, to be utilized at its headquarters in Islamabad.

According to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, only reputable firms registered with the Sales Tax Authority and authorized business partners of Kaspersky are eligible to participate. The bidding firms are required to provide not only the antivirus licenses but also ensure technical support and necessary training for deployment. Bids must be submitted by November 7, 2024, before 10:30 AM, and will be opened the same day at 11:00 AM.

The terms set by PEMRA include that all bids should be inclusive of taxes, with no adjustments for currency fluctuations or price increases permitted post-submission. The successful bidder will also be expected to supply all items to the PEMRA headquarters within two weeks of the work order issuance. Further, a 2% earnest money deposit of the total bid amount is required with each submission, which will be retained by PEMRA until June 30, 2025.

The authority has stated that it reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids prior to the final acceptance. The tender details are available on both the PEMRA and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority websites.
