PDWP Authorizes Three Key Development Projects Totaling Rs 1.48 Billion in Punjab

Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has sanctioned three significant development initiatives with a combined investment of Rs 1 billion 48 crores. These approvals were granted during the 22nd meeting of the PDWP for the fiscal year 2024-25, led by Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, Chairman of the Planning and Development Board.

According to Directorate General Public Relations – Govt of Punjab, the meeting included the approval of three distinct projects aimed at improving infrastructure and services in Murree and Kotli Sattian. The projects include the Provision of Stand-By Pumping Water Supply Scheme in Murree with an allocation of Rs 717.387 million, the Rehabilitation of Donga Gali Water Supply Scheme in Murree costing Rs 766.733 million, and a feasibility study for the Installation of a Chairlift/Cable Car System in Kotli Sattian, District Murree, with a budget of Rs 1 million.

The session was attended by Secretary of the Planning and Development Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Mr. Masoud Anwar, members of the Planning and Development Board, heads of relevant departments, and other senior officials. These projects reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to regional development and improved public amenities.
