Pasban-e-Hurriyat Accuses Modi Government of Committing ‘Worst War Crimes’ in Kashmir

Muzaffarabad: Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has accused the Indian government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, of committing severe war crimes in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a statement in Muzaffarabad, Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali criticized Modi’s recent visit to Kargil, asserting that the Prime Minister failed to absolve himself of the accusations surrounding the August 5, 2019, actions when India revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Ghazali emphasized that the Kashmiri people are well aware of who violated United Nations resolutions and stripped them of their identity.

Ghazali elaborated on the ongoing suppression in the region, stating that “Indian imperialism” is masquerading as a democracy while systematically eroding the human, political, social, and religious rights of the Kashmiri populace. He highlighted the confiscation of lands and properties in Kashmir, alleging that these are being sold off to Indian capitalists as part of a broader strategy akin to practices observed in other occupied territories.

The chairman further asserted that despite India’s intensive military presence and political maneuvers, the resilience and resistance movements of the Kashmiri youth continue unabated. He called on the United Nations Security Council to actively enforce its resolutions concerning Jammu and Kashmir, to uphold international law and support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
